Frequently Asked Questions
Where are sessions located?
Sessions and evaluations occur at a location that works best for your family, whether in our office, your home, your child’s daycare or preschool, or another location in the community.
My child has already been evaluated for occupational therapy, do I still need an evaluation?
If your child has been evaluated for occupational therapy in the past six months, we can work with your most recent evaluation to help create an individualized treatment plan.
What is the frequency and duration of sessions?
The frequency and duration of therapy sessions is dependent on the individual needs of each client. The frequency of your child’s therapy sessions will be determined after the initial evaluation. We typically recommend 30 to 60 minute sessions. Depending on your child’s needs, therapy is recommended 1 to 2 times per week.
Do you take insurance?
We are currently a private pay provider and an “out of network” provider for insurance companies. If you are seeking reimbursement from your insurance company, a Superbill (detailed receipts) can be provided and will have the treatment codes, diagnosis codes, and all of the necessary information. You may contact your insurance company directly to determine if they provide coverage for out-of-network assessment and treatment for occupational therapy services. Each insurance company is different and it is your responsibility to contact your insurance provider to find out exactly what is covered.
Do you provide services for the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) and Early Intervention (EI)?
Yes, Laura is an approved provider for CPSE services in Saratoga and Warren Counties. She is an approved independent provider for EI in New York State.
